Imposing....

Our last full day in Edinburgh. We had hoped to walk up to the top of Arthur's Seat but the weather had a different idea. So we explored the city a little more. We ended up here - The Vennel which gives this amazing view of Edinburgh Castle. We had a wander round Armchair Books second hand bookshop. Passed the cat cafe, and decided that we'd had enough of the crowds.
 
To find a little bit of peace and quiet we headed out to Dean Village and a walk along the Water of Leith. (see extra)

Our final stop of the day was lunch in the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. (see extra)

It was a bit of a trek back to our accommodation, but we'd needed to have a rest before our final evening out.
