Tiger Moth undercarriage

While trying to capture pics of Bumble Bees and a Painted Lady Butterfly feeding from the Alliums, I spotted this attractive Jersey Tiger moth resting on the outside a our conservatory window. Clearly not its best side, and neither is the aspect of its folded wings, which I later managed to capture on another window, although its stripes are impressive  - see extra.. When seen in flight the fully open wings reveal areas of scarlet which is quite outstanding.
