Today I walked in from Kinlochewe to the incredibly spartan Carnmore bothy (see extras) set below one of the two remotest Munros - A'Mhaighdean in the Fisherfield Forest. I arrived to heavy rain but, later, big breaks in the sky led to great contrasts in the views, as I stood on the hillock by the bothy with my back to the wind! That I was the only person to witness this spectacle, and probably 5-10km from the nearest human being was truly humbling.
