Reflecting on a new year ahead

I was up at the crack of dawn, hangover free, rubbing sugar and maple syrup into a ginormous piece of pork shoulder. Slow cooked for six hours and it was delicious - well, it's all gone anyhow. Surrounded by family, feeling warm and happy and still haven't had a drink of the hard stuff all year. OK, 2013, let's see what you've got in store.
