Fireworks Championships

This evening we went out to watch the Fireworks Champions at Newby Hall.  This is three teams putting on a 10 minute display to music, followed by a final display from the organisers.  This event has spoiled us for "normal" firework displays - I think the second team last night put on the best firework display I have ever seen, and they deservedly won!

There were fireworks on stands rotating under computer control, heart shaped fireworks, loud displays, quiet displays, it was great fun.

We were messing about with focus when taking the pictures - here you can see a long exposure where the fatter lines are when the camera was out of focus, and the thinner ones when in focus.  I'll probably add some more extras when I've had time to go through the pictures.
