Finishing touches

Kalyn and Marky arrived just after 10am, and it was full on after that!
A browse around the Saturday Market - crowded. Kalyn bought a ring, Marky bought some kale chips and a delicious loaf of crusty bread. Gramps sat in the shade and engaged with some tourists.  :-)
A browse in Cedar Mountain shop. Kalyn bought two little decorative things for the apartment she'll be moving into in August.
Home, enjoying cheese sticks from Barb's Buns in the car. Impossible to visit without getting cheese sticks!
Lunch in the garden, because the cheese sticks were just a snack. The bread bought by Marky, cream cheese and smoked salmon, cheese and meat (for them).
Making galette for supper. I'd sent Kalyn a photo of galette to see if she thought they'd like it. They both like to cook, so they did most of the prep and really liked the galette. They each want a copy of the recipe. So easy and delicious! (not sure why the colour of the walls looks so different from the real colour in this photo!)
Playing crib in the garden while the galette chilled in the fridge then baked. Oh, the competitiveness! Kalyn beat Marky then I beat Kalyn.
Supper.
Playing crib in the house (Kalyn and I), watching baseball (Marky and G)
Nearing the end of the game, I was counting first and only had to peg 3 to win and I counted first. Kalyn had about 8. Thought I would win for sure but only had 2 points in my hand, so had to peg at least one. Didn't. She won. Much loud celebration (her) and banging of head on table (me)
A game of bocce between these two elite young athletes and two older used-to-be athletes. We'd trounced them on their last visit. They trounced us.
Star watching, bundled in blankets. It was chilly! We saw some shooting stars. Like cheese sticks from Barb's, star watching is a must.
Bed just after 11:40 pm.  Phew!
Love these two, always a treat to have time together.
