Purple Haze

We had a really nice walk today with friends in Weston Colville, where they showed us this fabulous purple field of borage in bloom. We took a picnic and the weather was perfect. 

 It was strange, though, because up close there wasn't any purple at all, just blue flowers with slightly pink stems and green leaves (see extras). I guess at a distance the blue and pink blend together into a purple haze. 

I couldn't really decide which image to use for my main blip from this one and the two in the extras. If one of the extras gets more votes, I might swap! :-) What do you think?
