Bristol Harbour Festival

Two festivals in one weekend. Very unlike me.

The replica of The Matthew that John Cabot used to sailed to Newfoundland, is more or less in the centre of the picture. At least one of the old dock cranes still works. They were not in use for very long, I gather. In the 50s, workers would gather first thing to get work on the day.

A pleasant enough, if slightly humid day in Bristol. A bit more sun would have been good.
