Pygmy Peppers

The deer are wreaking havoc with my landscape and garden, more so this year than in previous years.  I'm sure it has something to do with the destruction of so much vegetation in the conservation land behind our house. A month ago these plants were taken down to just a few leaves.  They've made a valiant effort to come back and even one little pepper looks as though it is almost ready to be picked.  

The heat wave continues with the heat index being very high 90s(F).  Had to find some entertainment indoors because out was just too warm and humid without a large body of water nearby.  I went with a friend to a theater production of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  Hilarious and entertaining - just what we both needed.  Then a healthy light supper and lots of good conversation.  Jon went to a baseball game.  Not today dear.  
We were both happy.
