Beauty is all around us.

New Year's Day 2013.

After staying up until 1:30am watching Jool's Hootenanny and watching the neighbourhood fireworks, we needed a long lie in.
Breakfast was much later than usual and Mass was at 1:15pm which gave us plenty of morning time to re awaken and get sorted and ready.
The Church looks very beautiful and full of light and festive flowers.
This Blip is of a small statue I bought from the BHF shop in Accrington.
An angel , Mother Mary, St. Joseph and baby Jesus. It is a good focus for meditation.
Today the Church celebrates the special role played by Mary as the Mother of the Son of God.
In the afternoon Maria met up with her friend Heather and they walked one of Heather's puppies.
One is a Newfoundland and has a calm temperament and the other, a Cockerpoo, is very energetic and runs around the more sedate Mojo.
Paul has been cooking our evening meal of pasta and vegetables and I have been doing drying and ironing. It is very cold but there was a blue sky earlier.
I got a little drenched on my way home from delivering some book magazines to some friends.
