Japonica

After three days of rain the sun came out for the morning, which was very nice. About lunchtime heavy low clouds spoilt things. Nevertheless four birds tried out their territory songs. First the dunnock (hedge sparrow), then the grey warbler, a bellbird with an earsplitting peal, and finally after dark, a song thrush. The starlings have been doing their bit for weeks now.
