Tower Tuesday - Beauchamp

Notorious as a holding place for many Tower prisoners and still painstakingly scarred by dozens of carvings, many by Elizabethan prisoners in an era of plot and counter-plot. My favourite example is this one.
It’s a clear view as I walk in each morning but later on, especially now in a peak season, there’s usually a Yeoman Warder perched on the block, with an enthralled throng below enjoying the well-told (in both senses) tales.
