Sleep tight Ianto

This beautiful boy who I've been walking for 5 years was put to sleep this morning. I went to say goodbye to him on Sunday which was heartbreaking. He had a cruciate ligament op in January and recovered well, only for his luck to well and truly run out getting a growth inside his mouth. Although it was benign, it grew aggressively and the family were advised by the vets there was nothing more they could do to help him. They just don't live long enough.

Eva had a riding lesson this morning. She did well. Slowly building her confidence up again. Luckily we were done before it got too hot.

We spent the afternoon in the garden. Me and Toby read our books and Eva played in the paddling pool. Then the three littlest Barretts came by for a water fight. I was on the phone trying to arrange for Buddys insurance at the time and not too happy about 5 pairs of wet feet traipsing in and out of the house.

It's 10.30 and I'm sat on patio in a vest top with a drink. Still so warm. Feels like being abroad.

Oh and Eva had some unpleasant visitors in her hair. We've done the treatment and all looks clear now but I can't stop itching. Never had them before despite them going round school. Horrible!!

Extras of today. Main photo taken a month or so ago. I think I knew that day it wasn't going to be long before we had to say goodbye :'0(
