Robert's new bike

21st July 2019:

Until recently Robert and Blayers worked on the farm in Lusangazi which is about 11 km from the pump factory shown here in the background.

Recently Blayers did a course on well drilling and Robert has shown an interest in technical things, so we invited them to try their hands at making pumps

In the past few months they have been walking both directions each day, so we decided to give them a loan to buy two new bicycles.

Here is Robert trying out his new machine.

Word is that they are very happy with their new mode of transport, while we are very happy with their progress in pump manufacture.
