But, then again . . . . .

If It Wasn’t For the ‘Ouses.

I arrived back home from holiday to find this sign uncomfortable close to TD Towers. While the first block of new houses (now nearly complete) is known as Chapel Lawns, this new block is going to be named offer the commissioner of the building of the chapel and nearly 600 years worth of owners and ancestors – though, perhaps the “Mews” refers to William St Clair, the resident Chapel cat. Between the two fields taken over for the purpose lie another three waiting to be concreted over, with a fourth just out of sight on the right.

Here's a link for the original version of “If it wasn’t for the ‘Ouses” by Gus Elen to the accompaniment of a well known breakfast cereal
And another for a tarted up version where  you can make out the words.

I've just posted "Eilean Donan Castle" from Wednesday.
