The old Moot Hall

In 1652 George Fox, the Quaker preacher addressed the crowds, in effect his first meeting,  in the Moot Hall in Kendal , or rather in the original of this building which was refurbished in 1759, burned down in 1969 and replaced with an exact copy.  No longer a public building, so not a Moot Hall (meeting house) anymore. Too sunny to be outside.
