Sisko recovering

We have a door that can be tipped open from the top and we discovered that a cat can get stuck in. Sisko was on the balcony and my husband didn't spot him when he closed the door. Sometime after 4 a.m. he must have tried to get back in because we heard a small crash and a meow. I didn't check him because he meows a lot at night and this morning I discovered him wedged in the door, bleeding from his attempts to get out. He couldn't stand at first, but slowly started to be able to support some of his weight. We took him to the vet where, after examining him, the vet said that he'd had a lucky escape as many cats die when this happens. Now we are watching to make sure that he pees in the next 24 hours, if not, he may not have been so lucky after all. He's eating and drinking and looks more alert, hopefully, those are good signs.
