The Lay of the Land

I pass this field quite regularly and have been eying it up for a blip for a couple of weeks.  I think it is a field of wheat and I like the lonely pylon on the horizon.  I also like the juxtaposition of technology and nature.

Another full day collecting the new runaround, waiting in the heat for you nephew to finish work, helping him sort out some bits of the old car which has to have stuff sorted before we can dispose of it, then going to camera club and another lovely time with Terrifo and SueJay50.  Mono print competition at club tonight with some great shots and helpful comments from an amusing judge.  And all in the heat!  Lots of hotness and sweaty bits!

On a sad note, one of the longstanding members of the church congregation died today.  David was just 60 and endured a very aggressive cancer for the last six months.  A lovely single man who will be sadly missed.  RIP David.
