The microclimate of trees

Whilst temperature records were being set further south, I decided to cut the multi-species lawn which surrounds our house.

I think we might have reached 25 degrees C which is hot for our location.

The wind came out of the east from the sea and brought in some fog to be followed by full strength sunlight.

It then became hot(ish) and working in the shade of the trees was very pleasant.

I felt sorry for the poor commuters travelling by creaky trains in very humid and baking cities.
