Out with the Old/In with the New

Celebrating in style with the extended family, Fraser and Frasier, Missy, Snuffles and Warp! ...and a new wee addition, still to be named, bearing a sash saying "Found in Salisbury Cathedral'

The Champagne is open....though its only 8:00pm but in real time in Dubai, the fireworks have already exploded off the ramparts of the tallest building in the world and the celebrating has begun! Thanks to the wonders of technology, emails and sms's have been flying across the airwaves.

We would have started earlier in time to welcome in the New Year with SweetArt and family in Hong Kong....but 4:00pm is a mite too early to be popping the corks for us and there may have been a good chance we would not have made the GMT timeline.....that's the hazards of having so many International friends in different time zones!!

Spent the evening watching the Hogmany celebrations on BBC Scotland, then the fireworks over the Houses of Parliament, lighting all around and fizzling out in Old Father Thames. A fantastic tribute!

I love the way the Scots celebrate Hogmany....the Old Year passing with all its joys and sorrows....and the rest of these Isles celebrate the New Year...anticipating all that is yet to be.

It keeps a subtle balance, so essential to the way we face life's challenges and as a new year unfolds for 2013.......have a great one everyone... Look back and hold fast to those memories, then look forward and realise your dreams.

Happy Blipping!
