Sally Mair - Loving life

Church garden

Another shot of our very productive, and, at the moment very green, church garden. The combination of high temperatures and heavy rain has had a wonderful effect and everything is looking very lush just now. We've had the first of the new potatoes, the peas, the broad beans, the shallots, and of course the beautiful sweet peas. The garden is a place of work and fellowship for some and a source of fresh fruit and veg for others. We are so fortunate to have it.
Today is our 44th wedding anniversary, but events have rather overtaken us and we haven't had the celebration we had hoped for. One of Ali's cats had been off colour recently so we took her to the vet today and everything has escalated to the stage that we may not be bringing her home again. She is in acute renal failure and is in the vet hospital overnight on iv fluids. We are back at the vets tomorrow for assessment. Hard times for Ali and for us all, she's only a young cat.
Other than that I did manage my step count target thanks to an 11.00pm 1 mile walk in the rain.
12752 steps, day 2 completed.
