An' ye had been ...

Today is the 330th anniversary of the Battle of Killiekrankie and to mark the occassion the visitor centre's were hosting re-enactors from France and Scotland who were dressed as Jacobites and Redcoats.  

We went along for a look and also a stroll along the "braes of Killiekrankie-o" . Despite the temparture dropping overnight it was still very muggy - still feels like we need a really good thunderstorm to clear the air.  

A quiet afternoon followed - reading (and enjoying) On Chapel Sands by Laura Cumming in which she explores the life of her mother, including an incident in which she disappeared from the sands. Wonderful writing.
