Being WildCardinal...

Evening Sun on the Berwyns

A very late start to the day (trying to sleep off my cold!) so up in time for breakfast to double up as lunch.

With the shirt days we were out of the house and heading up into the hills by about 2 - which doesn't leave a lot of time before it gets dark at about 4.30. Still - a very good walk with a lot of rain.

There were a few times where the rain held off while we were at the top - and this was on of them. Taken near what is locally known as 'the mountain gate' where the fields end and the sheep are left to roam over the Berwyn mountains. Looking across there was a break in the could and the late afternoon sun was shining through on to the mountain side. Glorious! A couple of minutes later the clouds came back over an we were rained on almost all the way back down. Still well worth it for the fresh air and the glorious views across the mountains from the top.
