Clever Mr Blackbird sheltering from the pouring rain ...... he's found a great place ...... underneath the bushes!

A big difference from a couple of days ago when he was sunbathing (Extra)

Hubby witnessed a bit of excitement in the garden this morning ...... a bird of prey swooped down into the garden & then flew off ...... he said it was so quick ..... "like a speeding brown bullet" he couldn't tell what type of bird it was .... or even if it caught anything for its breakfast!

What a difference a day makes ...... it has been raining for most of the day ...... thankfully it has cooled things down!

Not before time ..... the temperature in our bedroom at midnight last night was 25.4c .... that was after the windows had been wide open for a few hours! It was about 4am before I managed to get to sleep!

Apparently on Thursday night in Lincolnshire .... we had a rare weather phenomenon ..... a Heat burst ...... they told us about it on the local news Friday night. ....... we had noticed that it seemed to get hotter & the wind had definitely started blowing hard .... that explains it!
