Day 15: Namibia

We arrived at the first waterhole in the Etosha National Park this morning but it was dry. The next one had water in it and within minutes of arriving we spotted a lion, then another and until we had 7 in our view. I couldn’t believe our luck as they were well hidden in the grass surrounding the waterhole. Twice, one of them looked as though it was going to chase one of the springbok but backed off. One of the males had a wander around and it was amazing to see him strutting around. Yet again, we have been so fortunate on this trip. See extra for second shot of a lion.

We stayed just outside the park this evening on a wonderful campsite with basic facilities but a wonderful location.
