Silly Saturday

Today our community choir took a “tour bus” to “Thee Festival” at Great Ouseburn where we had been invited to sing. The forecast was dire after the hot weather we had been having. Undeterred we arrived with chairs, waterproofs, brollies, food and drinks (my frozen Pimms stayed frozen!). 100% chance of rain forecast for the time we were singing, but we were lucky, and there were just a few drops near the end of our set. A very appreciative audience who danced, cheered and sang along, and demanded an encore! We had just returned to our seats when the heavens opened - I now know that my golf brolly leaks and my kagoule is not fully waterproof! Other groups were great, and there was also a fire eater - bit of a problem lighting his fire stick in the rain! Lots of fun on the bus, where we still got wet on the back seat as it was raining in!
