Hanging out in the New Year with little Seamus at Tom and Merry's. Ate a couple bowlfuls of some incredible homemade mac and cheese. Then ended the gathering with a trip to the local liquor warehouse to add to the Arizona/Colorado microbrew haul. Also picked up some award-winning Colorado bourbon whiskey.

Back at the parent's house now, chilling out and keeping it low-key tonight. Leah flies back tomorrow at 7AM (which means a 4:30AM wake-up call!). I'll stay on another week but it certainly won't be the same without her around. Also, reminds me of the realities that are approaching: school, teaching, life.

Finally: congratulations to Byron and Melissa who got engaged last night in Fort Worth--sorry we missed your special party but well done on the wonderful news.
