Artichoke Plants

Some blippers were surprised that these were artichokes. Here we have three plants, all well over 6 feet. They were planted by previous owners pre 1996. They are meant to keep blooming for 6 or 7 years. 23 years on they are still going strong. But this year's crop has been bigger than before...and I wonder if this is one last burst of growing energy. Next year we will see.

A trip to Matalan was the highlight of our day for Jack to buy a pair of denim shorts....for our next adventure.

We are watching the second series of Keeping Faith the Welsh/English series. Wonderful coastal and rural shots of Wales! And stiletto heels have never had such a high profile in a tv series.
