Dahlia

An annual flowering variety. I was given some plants by one of my neighbours. And along with other plants they had started to flower while I was away. We were promised rain to day, but only a light shower this afternoon, which had evaporated off the paving within 15 minutes.  But at least I got all my washing dry! Just got a pile of ironing to do now ;-)
