Before the storm, looking behind

As thunderstorms were forecast this afternoon we had a local walk along Cavendish dock up to the sea wall. Officially opened in 18?? by Disraeli and hailed as the largest dock in Europe it has never actually been used and only birds are allowed on it. As a result it is a peaceful pleasant walk alongside the saltmarsh and not far from home. Ahead there were dark thunder clouds and we heard the odd rumble of thunder, but when I looked back to where we'd just walked it looked quite pleasant. It  got gradually hotter and more humid but we got back home before the downpour.. good timing
