Crummock

Were going to have a drive to Buttermere this afternoon but the roads were rather busy as it is the middle of the holiday season, so we pulled in at Crummock.
We intended going up to the little waterfall but a chap from a car nearby collapsed and the visitors not locals needed help. Not a lot we could do other than tell them their location, map reference  etc to convey to the ambulance call centre. Luckily in the next car to us was a lady who had been a nurse and as luck would have it a short while after a doctor out
walking came past and could give assistance. A paramedic car came along followed a short while after by an ambulance and the man was taken to hospital.
By this time we were soaked by the rain and thunder was rumbling all around us, so we thought the best plan was to get ourselves home.
Extra shows the ambulance coming along the narrow road beside the lake. Not something we see too often - thank goodness.
