Lagar de Azeite das Olas

Olive oil of the Olas.

Olive press. And so much more.
Very hidden roadside attraction.

There is a roadside sign but the locals been there, done that. Their lineage did this work, and now it sits in a highly dark environment. The engineering in this 15 square foot space is staggering. This object powered by the water running beneath, is like an oversized Swiss watch. But no watch made olive oil. And the extras show more of the ingenuity.

Thank you Colleen for sharing this historical Portuguese treasure.
