peregrine

Thought I would beat the forecast rain and see if the peregrines were around. Fortunately they arrived shortly after I did and clearly they had in mind that they could do with some food before the bad weather set it again. Here is the female carrying around her catch having already fed off it herself. She had been calling prior to the fly around. She was calling the juveniles and offering them a meal but they were no where to be seen and didn't respond. The young ones are seen infrequently now and are definitely finding a larger territory.
The male was patiently sitting on top of the mill (in extra) and when the female dropped the food on the roof he moved in to have his fill. She has always been the boss.
