Wet day!

Got to work this morning and was greeted at the door by this fine moth, I think that is an Old lady moth. The name old lady refers to the fact that the wing pattern was said to resemble the shawls worn by elderly Victorian ladies. The description seems to fit.

The rain has been non stop today as you can see from the extra photo of the river behind where I work, which is the same place as one of the apprentices was paddling last week!
