Harvested

We enjoyed having Rosie with us this morning on her actual 18th birthday day. Her present was a "hamper" with the theme "introduction to adulthood", with contents ranging from fun (chocolate and vodka) to the practical (kitchen utensils, string and stamps)! We really like the idea that she could tell people her dad gave her a ball of string for her 18th. To make it more useful, the hamper is actually a travel case.

This evening we've been out for a walk locally. Annie collected three bags of litter before we deviated on to a footpath we haven't taken before. It was quiet and we enjoyed watching two young deer enjoying the sunshine before wandering home to cook some dinner.

This is the first harvest blip I think I've taken this summer!

Thanks for all the lovely comments on the photo of Rosie yesterday.
