Meanwhile, in the garden . . .

The good thing about coming home mid afternoon yesterday was that I could catch up on the important bits and pieces, neighbours, post, getting the holiday's dirty washing in the machine, so today I could hit the ground running and get into the garden!

With the warm, damp weather the plants have been romping away.  Lots to cut back, dead head and tidy, weeds to put out and a huge amount of broad beans to pick.  Lovely to see so many sweet peas flowering too.

The snails have been having a great time.  I picked twenty one off the poor lupins and hydrangea!  Great big ones!  They are now in the sea, except for one with a strange shell, which I have kept. As one does . . .!
