Holiday club

It was the last day of our children’s holiday club at church today. This blip is of when some of the children first arrived today and were enjoying playing with a parachute filled with balls. I would guess that we probably had about 70 kids along during the week. The balls in the bag on the roof (on the top right) were released each day as a ‘meteor shower’ and the children from each of the red, blue and green teams had to gather as many as they could and put them into a big silver rocket for their respective team. Although we had games and competitions throughout the week, J our minister (who was running the club and can be seen in the white NASA uniform on the left) declared it to be a draw at the end! The kids were marvellous, so enthusiastic and well behaved. Hubby and I were team helpers and our son ran the technology side of things. This evening we have a barbecue, but we are ‘off duty’ and can just mingle and enjoy ourselves.
