Good night from Ritzville

Day two. The last 2 Hours we drove through flat farmland. Harvested wheat fields as far as we could see on both sides of the road. We arrived in Ritzville , once the bread deliverer for the USA (they said), with a mainstreet full of well built houses , most of them empty now. Some fancy houses and mansions witnessed the former wealth.
The Ritz Crackers came from here. The heydays were around 1902 .
A little bit of ghost town on one hand, a still active industrial agricultural town on the other hand. ( see the amount of enormous Harvesting John Deere machines) It is said to have 10000 inhabitants but that is hard to see. Only if you count all the farmers spread out on the surrounding fields .
I will post some extras tomorrow.
Thank you for your visit and all the Kind feed back!
