It has been a good gardening day today. The temperature was just right so I managed to make quite an impression, outside for a few hours. I kid myself ours is a cottage garden, so a bit of chaos is to be expected.
Last year a piece broke off a trailing begonia so I stuck it in a jamjar on the kitchen windowsill. It grew roots, so I potted it up, and it stayed on the kitchen window sill all winter, rather straggly and pathetic. Then, suddenly, it took off, and look at it now! It is happy to be outside and has started flowering.
