Left behind

Our lovely gite guests left in the middle of the night to return to Yorkshire, apart from two who were flying from La Rochelle this afternoon, so Mr F gave them a lift to the station.
Then the cleaners arrived, a mother and daughter team who go through the house (5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms) like lightening, while I strip and remake all the beds, rewash saucepans, and replenish broken glasses!
I've calculated it takes 10 woman hours just to get the house looking perfect, without counting what Mr F does in the garden. But the septic tank needed emptying, so we had to have an emergency visit, so the lawn didn't get mowed as it should have been today.
Never mind, it's 30 degrees, the new guests are happily installed, Mr F has gone to get us a pizza, and the mountain of washing can wait until another day!
The photo shows a cot sheet, a pair of baby socks and a bracelet which we found on cleaning today. I'm waiting to be told whether I need to post them or donate to a charity shop!
