Sunset at Holy fjell

Yesterday packed my gear to the car with 3 friends and drove 5 hours to Lapland and resort Pyhätunturi (= Holy fjell). The resort is mid-sized resort located at the quite impressive area of several nice fjells with excellent possibilities to some offpiste skiing.

During the last week there had been loads of new snow, so not a bad time to head that direction. The first day we spent the whole light day period skiing at the almost lift served backcountry area Jackson that was named after Jackson Hole at the other side of the pond, naturally.

It was cold -24deg of celcius but the small hikes and the nice pow skiing kept us going the whole day. And for me with the camera (despite it being only the pocked sized one this time) the sunset was really nice. Here Mr.T is going for the trees.

What a day to start the new year holiday! :)
