Rumours of my death have been somewhat exaggerated

The media is full of reviews of the year 2012.
Who lived and who died seem popular topics. Last week it was that Jesus chap yesterday it was a cricket writer.
A local paper today carries a feature about sporting heroes who are seemingly no longer with us. It's a somewhat bland list with folk no doubt gleaned from the internet by some 5 year old drafted in for the holidays. The cricket commentator is certainly on the list but Jesus is absent despite his obvious sailing skills.
Somewhat surprisingly the feature appears to suggest that Muhammad Ali is no longer with us.
Guess that's the power of image over words.
