...from home for the next seven weeks.

How amazing.
The last time I was here seven years or so ago there was only a pad awaiting the house in a 'paddock' of cleared vines. The local schist soil,  a shuffle of silvery slivers making up the slopes.
Now there is this beautiful house in a garden of roses, irises, poppies and grasses, fruit trees and a bountiful 'potager' (veggie patch) which supplies all my 'French family' needs.
