Kirstenbosch

The weather in Cape Town is making me feel at home (as in it's like Scotland!). But we dodged the showers and wandered in Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens this morning, then after lunch in a local deli with some other friends and spent the afternoon tasting wine. Hard life. First impressions of Cape Town are that it still seems very segregated and that makes me feel uncomfortable. Not much sign of the Rainbow Nation here, unlike the restaurant and beach in Durban, where the population was much more mixed. Interesting chat with a local about it over lunch. Dinner was with some more friends, so it was a very sociable day. The first of our group leaves tomorrow, so it was nice to have time to chat.
