My Mini Adventure

Thank you for all the lovely comments, hearts and stars on my red balloon day yesterday. x

We had a busy day today.

First thing we drove to Elvington airfield, just outside York, to watch N’s brother take part in a supercar driving experience which we had clubbed together to buy him for his 50th birthday earlier this year. He loved it - really got his adrenaline going! L enjoyed the watching experience too. At the end N and I were able to join in and be passengers for a fast lap in a saloon car... 120mph! Great fun!

After this, N went back to Harrogate with his brother to go to a football match while L and I stayed with his sister and niece to visit Yorkshire Air Museum which is based at the airfield.

Oh what fun L had, running between aeroplanes, “Look at that, Mummy!” She even got to sit in a couple of cockpits of old planes and play with the control stick and other buttons and levers. It was hard to tear her away in the end... nearly tears and a rare tantrum but she held it together, phew. The ice lolly promise from Auntie C helped a lot!

One of L’s favourite programs on CBeebies is “Catie’s Amazing Machines” and what a super day of amazing machines L has had today.
