An oasis of calm...

... in the mayhem that is Edinburgh during the first weekend of the Fringe.

First stop was Legally Blond the Musical performed very well by students from Royal Conservartoire.

This had been preceeded by a walk along canal where we saw the swans with their cygnets - all 9 & now getting big (almost adult size).

Lunch at Bistro Square - some of the flyer handing out were mini-shows in themselves, a seat in the quiet in the museum then coffee & cake.

Next show was the Nashville Story (liked the Kitty Wells tribute the best) then over to Pleasance to see Bible John (correct day this time) at which DD joined us. Interesting take on true-crime podcasts, cleverly done, thought provoking with a key message very relevant to today's times.

Then headed to Kings Hall with minutes to spare for next show- Comfort Food Caberet (combining talk, song, cookery demos with a meal) only to find we were at the wrong Kings Hall. Made it to correct one with aid of No 30 bus in time for starter.

Home (16k plus steps later) tired after a good day - glad I don't have work in the morning !
