Berlin

Although I arrived in Berlin at 16:30, it took almost five hours for our four PhD students to gather and then stop drinking beer at the "Welcome Reception" of ICCOPT before I got any food. But it was well worth it, since we stumbled on a traditional bar whose special involved lots of chanterelle mushrooms in cream with sautéed potatoes. Adding a schnitzel in my case yielded the ideal food for soaking up beer.

The conference starts tomorrow.
