The power of rain

Despite yesterday's almost marathon legs, hips and joints fine today.

Cover for youngsters at church; visit to aunt’s house to drop off stuff and check on the cat; pottering in the garden; then down to North Berwick to water plants and pick up mail.

While there, the heavens opened; thunder rolled and lightning flashed.

When it eased I headed back to visit my aunt in hospital then home for dinner and letter writing.

The journey home took me past many fields where, as I commented the other day, the crops had been flattened by the rain. See extra. Today’s deluge will not have helped the farmers.
