Today...

...a small white.

There are less of the Painted Lady butterflies now, which means I can see more other varieties when I make my one minute count.

This is a Small White. And when I was a child there were clouds of them. My father would leap into action with his paraffin spray 'gun' to kill all the caterpillars in the garden.

I saw 6 Small Whites just now.
