Sir John Graves Simcoe

We celebrate Simcoe Day part of a Civic long weekend on the first Monday of August each year. Lake Simcoe was named after Sir John Graves Simcoe, he was a British army general and the first Lieutenant Govenor of Upper Canada 1791 - 1796. These mallard ducks were enjoying some fresh air and sun on Lake Simcoe this morning.....
